My contribution to the Quilt Festival Spring 2010 is "Boxes". The quilt was made in the end of 2009 and it measures 19" x 16". It all started when I bought a pack of 4" squares, all Japanese fabric. Then at the Quilt Festival in Birmingham 2009 I saw a beautiful geometric quilt in a shop and decided to use the idea. I bought the light and dark grey fabrics and back home I tried to construct the pattern. But as I had no experience from geometrics it ended up in Attic Windows, not too bad but far from what I wanted to make. Anyhow, by using paper and pen and after several mistakes I got it alright! I am very proud of my quilt, quilted in the ditch and hanging on the wall in my studio.
Today, six months later, I know there is no need to "Walk over the river for water" and I am just waiting for EQ7.
Very pretty quilt! You did an amazing job!
