Hazara embrodery
|
I've got a message that my application to "Creative Threads - From Afghanistan to Europe" convinced the jury-team and my quilt is now on its way to Paris for a final decision before an exhibition that starts on Feb 14 and will visit different parts of Europe. Of course I'm very proud! My quilt (I will not show it before the exhibition) is very traditional with diamond blocks and I have used a similar shape and colors like those in the embrodery. It is a four-handed work as the Hazara women in Afghanistan have stiched a special "diamond" edition with the Europeans involved to finish their works developed from the original embrodery. Of course I will go to Paris!
This year I will attend a Master's Class and I think my subject for the series will be "Botany".
